Instructions for Authors
Language: The language of the journal is English.
Submission of manuscripts:
- Preferably, manuscripts
should be sent (either electronically in PDF or PostScript format or in
hard copy, in triplicate) directly to a member of the Editorial Board
whose field of interest is judged to be the closest to the subject of the
paper. In case of hesitation authors are encouraged to consult the
Editorial Office at the address computing@math.bas.bg.
Manuscripts may also be submitted to the Editorial Office.
- Upon acceptance an editable
version of the paper, prepared by either TeX/LaTeX
or Word, should be sent to the Editorial Office.
Guidelines for authors:
- The affiliation, full
address and email (if available) of each author should be indicated.
- A self-contained abstract
of no more than 150 words should be included at the beginning, stating the
purposes of the study, procedures, findings and conclusions. After the
abstract a list of index terms (a total of five to ten key words and
phrases) should be given.
- Footnotes should be
numbered consecutively and placed at the foot of the page where they have
to appear. The footnotes related to the title and author's names must not
be numbered.
- References to published
literature should be quoted in text by an abbreviation in square brackets
of name(s) (first three letters of single author; or first two letters of
first author, followed by first letter of second author; or first letter
of each author if there are three or more) and date (two digits). When
more than one reference is cited with the same author(s) and date, the
letters a, b, c, … should follow the date (eg
[Smi88a], [Smi88b], etc.).
- At the end of the paper all
references should be listed alphabetically by author(s)' names, and then
by the year if the same author has several papers, in the following
format: a) to books—author, title, location, year of publication; b) to
articles in periodicals or collections—author, title of the article, title
of the periodical (collection), volume, year, page numbers.
- When sending hard copy,
author(s) should keep a copy of the original manuscript. Manuscripts will
not be returned.
Proofs: Galley proofs are sent to the specified
address for correspondence. For corrections (in the galley proofs) which exceed
more than 10% of the text, the authors will be charged.
Offprints: Fifty offprints of each article will be
provided free of charge.
