I. CATALOGS
ONLINE CATALOG
The on-line catalog of the library of IMI has started retroconversion since 2004.
Is a part of General Library Catalog of the Central Library – BAS, created according to
the Integral Library System ALEPH500. Bibliographic descriptions are created according to format MARC 21 and AACR2.

Since 2010 General on-line library catalog of CL-BAS is integrated to platform Primo
TRADITIONAL CATALOGS
They are available in the lending-room of Library-IMI:
* The catalog was united with the Library of Faculty of Mathematics-Sofia University,St.Kl.Ohridski, to 1991
- Alphabetical catalog of books in Cyrillic alphabet – full until 2001, after that updated.
- Alphabetical catalog of books in Latin alphabet – full until 2001, after 2001 it is being updated.
- Alphabetical catalog of periodicals in Cyrillic alphabet.
- Alphabetical catalog of periodicals in Latin alphabet.
- Classified Systematical Catalog - includes the incoming literature up to 2001.
For internal use:
- Topographic catalog of books.
II. CARD-INDEXES
- Card-index of journals in Cyrillic alphabet – for official use.
- Card-index of journals in Latin alphabet – for official use.
- Card-index of serials in Cyrillic alphabet – for official use.
- Card-index of serials in Latin alphabet – for official use.
- Card-index of theses, defended in IMI after 1973. It isn’t completed and includes only theses, given to the library.
- Card-index Desiderata – includes recommended by readers and selected by librarians titles of books and serials for future acquisition.
