Interdisciplinary workshop on Approximation Theory, Numerical Analysis and Symbolic Computation
|
|
August 31 - September 05, 2012, Sozopol, Bulgaria
organized by
Institute of Mathematics and Informatics,
Bulgarian Academy of Sciences,
and
Doctoral Program Numerical Analysis and Symbolic Computation
Johannes Kepler University.
Topic
In our workshop, we will focus (but don't restrict ourselves) on problems arising in the field of approximation theory, numerical analysis, mathematical modeling, symbolic computation, multivariate interpolation, PDEs, orthogonal polynomials and special functions.
The primary objective of the workshop is to bring together scientists from Bulgaria and Austria working in the field of Approximation Theory, Numerical Analysis and Symbolic Computation.
One of the goals of the workshop is to stimulate new research cooperations which would lead to novel results.
We expect the interdisciplinary nature of
the workshop to inspire new developments in the cooperating fields and motivate new research directions in computational and applied mathematics.
Organizers
- Irina Georgieva, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia.
- Veronika Pillwein, Research Institute of Symbolic Computation, Johannes Kepler University, Linz.
Venue
The international workshop will take place in the
the House of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Cherno more str. 1, Sozopol
