Education

I obtained a Ph.D. in Mathematics at the Jacobs University, Bremen, Germany in 2010. Title of the dissertation is Time-frequency localized functions and operators in Gabor analysis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Götz Pfander).

Research

From 2010 to 2014 I was a postdoctoral reasearcher at the LOEWE Centre for Synthetic Microbiology in Marburg, Germany and, more specifically, in the Workgroup of Numerical Methods of Prof. Dr. Stephan Dahlke. I worked on mathematical models for regulatory networks for cell polarity in soil bacteria.
From 2014 to 2016 I was a research associate at the Department of Biosciences at the University of Exeter. I worked on a collaboration project with AstraZeneca on pharmacodynamical models for kinase inhibitors in the context of cancers.
In 2017 I obtained my Habilitation (Dozent) at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics in Sofia.
I am member of the Union of Mathematicians in Bulgaria (СМБ) and the Society for Mathematical Biology (SMB).
