Abstract submission

Download the template for the abstract for a contributed talk or poster presentation. Modify the file according to the comments within, and check that the resulting .pdf file is at most 2 pages long.
Rename the file abstract_mpib23.tex as:

type_lastname_mpib23.tex

where type is one of the following:

PT (plenary talk)

CT (contributed talk)

CP (contributed poster)

and lastname is your lastname.
Send this .tex file by email to mathimmuno2023@gmail.com after pre-registration.
Your submission cannot be modified afterwards.

Registration fees

The registration fee covers workshop materials, coffee breaks and a social event on Tuesday, 12 September.

The fee is payable in euro (EUR) or the equivalent amount in Bulgarian lev (BGN) and can be paid via bank transfer, or cash (in BGN only) at the registration desk. The exchange rate is fixed at 1 EUR = 1,96 BGN.

If the payment is done via bank transfer, all bank charges must be borne by the sender. We inform that, once the payment is done, there is no possibility for a refund.

If you prefer to make the payment in cash at the registration desk, please inform the organisers via email to mathimmuno2023@gmail.com.

PhD students should submit a letter from their advisor to mathimmuno2023@gmail.com in order to qualify for the reduced fee.

Financial support

The Society for Mathematical Biology has provided a grant for partial financial support of PhD students and young researchers (Postdocs, not more than 5 years after doctoral degree). The support covers the registration fee and accommodation (shared room, half-board). The grants will be awarded on merit, while giving consideration to underrepresented groups.

Before applying for financial support, please make sure that you have registered for the workshop and that you have submitted your abstract according to the instructions. To apply, the please send the following information as attachments in a single e-mail to mathimmuno2023@gmail.com.

1. Name, Current affiliation, E-mail address, Number of Years in the Graduate Program or Date of Doctoral Degree and Institution
2. Title of Talk or Poster Presentation
3. Curriculum Vitae
4. Recommendation Letter from Supervisor (For Graduate Student Applicants)

Please put “FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION” in the subject line of your e-mail.

Bank account

All bank payments will be acknowledged by e-mail when received. If you need an invoice, please send an email to mathimmuno2023@gmail.com, indicating the information needed for the invoice.
Receipt of payment (hard copy) will be provided at the registration desk of the workshop.
