Authors: Daniela Atanassova

Abstract: How to expediently take advantage of the opportunities that the European policy in education and culture provides for modern, comparable to the best practices representation of Bulgarian historical heritage and contemporary artistic achievements. The strategic approach to this goal has already been properly deployed by European cultural institutions – the European internet portal Europeana with open access to cultural heritage of EU countries. The specific steps for the implementation of this strategy by Bulgarian institutions - especially smaller ones – are as yet uncertain due to limited financial resources and serious concerns about copyright infringement.

Title: New Discoveries Related to Ivanovo Rock Monastery
Authors: Evgeny Koev

Abstract: The rock monastery "Belbernitsata" in village Ivanovo so far is only marginally mentioned in the study of Ivanovo rock monasteries. After the description of "two caves" by Karel Shkorpil information about "two other churches" by Asen Vasilev and general notice of the mural by L. Mavrodinova in Subsequent research and even general descriptions of this complex are lacking. After the observations in the area and conducted a detailed mapping of the central part of object of cavers from SC "Dervent" and young people from Student Speleoclub at PHST "Dr. V. Beron" - Veliko Tarnovo present realistic architectural and spatial reconstruction of the central part the rock cloister. Continues research in the area is complementing the information on the place and importance of the monastery, among other rock monasteries near the area of "Pismenata". Once again confirms the thesis that here was a cave and rock church "St. Transfiguration" carved by Patriarch Joachim I of Tarnovo and his students.
