The scientific project "Computer Simulations and Innovative Model-based Studies of Bioprocesses" is focused on research in the field of biomathematics and bioinformatics and refers to mathematical studies of models of bioprocesses and biosystems. Its final goal is to supply the professional scientists and specialists with rigorous mathematical and software tools for the investigation of certain model-based real-life bioprocesses.
The project is sponsored by the Bulgarian National Science Fund (BNSF) under Contract Nr. "DO 02 - 359/2008" and it has the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics (IMI) at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) as its organizational affiliation.
