Travel: 

 Sozopol is located 30 km sought of the town Bourgas, at the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria.

Bourgas has an international airport located 12 km north of Bourgas. From some cities there are direct flights to Bourgas and this is the best way to reach Sozopol. Contact your travel agent to get more information about possible charter flights to Bourgas. There are regular busses from Bourgas airport to the central railway station of Bourgas from where you should take a bus to Sozopol.

There are regular busses from Bourgas to Sozopol which leave every one hour during the day (from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.) just aside of the central railway station of Bourgas. There are also many mini busses circulating between Bourgas and Sozopol.

Please give enough details in the Registration Form about how you will reach Sozopol so that we can meet you.

From Sofia you can reach Sozopol by: 

  • plane plus buss 

    • Every day there are two flights between Sofia and Bourgas in both directions. The price is 88 USD for a two-way ticket (47 USD for one-way ticket).
  • train plus buss 

    • There are several trains circulating between Sofia and Bourgas. The price vary depending on the train and the class but is not more than 15 DM. You may combine your trip with a sightseeing of Sofia if you take a night train with a sleeping place. 
    The central railway station of Sofia is easy reachable by many ways. To move from Sofia airport to the central railway station you take bus No.84 from the airport and change it at the stop, called Hotel Pliska. From Hotel Pliska take any of the busses No. 213, 313, 413, 305, all having a terminal stop at the central railway station. You need to buy tickets for the busses in advance (usually available at the bus stops kiosks). The price is 0.25 BGL (1 BGL = 1 DM). You have to punch the ticket in the bus; one ticket is valid for one bus.
  • bus 

    • There are regular busses which leave from a large bus-parking lot just opposite the central railway station in Sofia. The price vary but it is about 15 DM to Sozopol. The travel takes about 6 hours to Bourgas and 7 hours to Sozopol.

Accommodation: 

 We shall provide you accommodation for the period, you stay in Sozopol, in the Rest-House of BULBANK (where the Workshop will take place) at a price of approx. 15-20 USD per night. Please describe your preferences (single or shared double room, full board or not, higher or lower category) in the Registration Form. We shall try to meet your requirements.

Another possibility is to arrange your stay in Sozopol via some travel agency.
