EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES


The section participates in flexible programs of study leading to M. S. and Ph. D. degrees in Applied Mathematics for two Universities. Master courses in biomathematics, reliable computing, numerical analysis and computer arithmetic are offered. Over 20 Diploma and 5 Ph.D. theses have been completed.

2. Mathematical models in biology, ecology and medicine, 60 hours.

4. Nonlinear systems' theory, 45 hours.,

5. Computer arithmetic, 45 hours.

Special courses:

1. Theory of errors. 30 + 30 hours.

2. Nonlinear problems, 30 + 30 hours.

3. Practical Course in MAPLE, 30 hours.

4. Software for Scientific Computing:
    - Introduction to Mathematica,  30 + 30 hours.
    - Advanced Programming with Mathematica,  30 hours.

5. Nonlinear dynamical systems and applications, 45 hours.,

6. Diploma work , 120 hours.
