Eugenia Stoimenova is a Professor of Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IMI - BAS). She has a Ph.D. Degree and a Doctor of Science Degree in mathematics both awarded by the Higher Attestation Committee of Bulgaria. Her research interests are in probability and statistics.
She has published research papers in the area of
Mathematical statistics, applied research papers in the areas of
mechanics, engineering and biology, 4 textbooks and applied research
papers in the areas of test assessment and Statistics education.
Prof. Stoimenova is Elected Member of the European Regional
Committee of the Bernoulli Society for 2010-2014, Bulgaria, Member
of the Science and Expert Committee for Mathematics and Informatics
of the Bulgarian National Science Fund. She was a member of the
Committee in Informatics and Mathematical Modelling of the High
Attestation Committee at the Council of Ministers for 2005-2010.
Stoimenova regularly teaches courses for Ph.D. students, master and undergraduate university students, talented high school students. To date, she has supervised 3 doctoral students in the areas of
mathematics, medicine and education. She has coordinated a Master
program is Applied Statistics and Statistical Consulting Center at
the IMI - BAS.
