Abstract. We present a software package which provides tools for numerical solutions of elliptic PDE in 3D domain (boundary value problem). The package is based on two different unstructured mesh generators. The first is QMG, written by S.A.Vavasis using octree algorithm (see S.A.Mitchell, S.A.Vavasis, Quality mesh generation in three dimensions, In Proc. 8th ACM symp. on Computational Geometry, 212-221,1992). The second, AGM^3D is written by J. Bay and includes a good local refinement technic (see J. Bey, Tetrahedral grid refinement, Computing 55, 355-378,1995). The finite element solver produces piecewise linear approximations of the solutions. Some numerical results are given with comments about the precision of the solutions and the convergence rates.
