Conference Location

The NMA'98 conference will be held from August 19th till August 23rd 1998, arrival day August 18.

The registration and the conference sessions will be carried out at the Central building (Rectorat) of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". The address is 15 Tsar Osvoboditel blvd. The plenary lectures will be carried out in the auditorium 65. The Organizing Committee will be located at room 2, at the first floor, and the registration will take place there.

To enter the University, please, use:

the main entrance of the University (situated at the corner of "Tsar Osvoboditel blvd" and "Vassil Levski blvd";

the entrance, situated at the side of "Tsar Osvoboditel blvd". In this case you have to turn left when crossing the inner University yard.

In all cases, follow the Conference signs to reach the Auditorium 65, or the Organizing Committee.

Information about the conference location will be also available at the receptions of the hotels you will stay.

The Rectorat is located very close to the centre of the city, so that one can enjoy some sightseeing when coming from the hotel or in the breaks. The three hotels "Sofia", "Bulgaria" and "Serdica" are conveniently situated within 5-10 min walking distance from the Conference Centre.

How to reach Conference site

upon your arrival:

We will meet at the Sofia Airport all participants who have sent exact information about their arrival. In the case you have not sent this information, you can reach the Conference site in the following way
.
- From the Airport: take bus 84. Get off on "Rectorat of Sofia University" bus stop (on "Tsar Osvoboditel blvd" near its cross with "Vassil Levski blvd"). The main entrance of the University is on the other side of the "Tsar Osvoboditel blvd". Look around for the signs of the conference there.
- From the Central railway station: take bus 213 or 305 to "Orlov most" ("Eagle's bridge"- you will actually see a small bridge with 4 eagles when you pass). Get off, return to the bridge and go along "Tsar Osvoboditel blvd" until you reach the cross with "Vassil Levski blvd". The main entrance of the University is on the other side of "Tsar Osvoboditel blvd". Look around for the signs of the conference there.
from hotels or from students' dormitory:
- From hotel "Bulgaria": go in the right direction from hotel's exit along "Tsar Osvoboditel blvd".
- From hotel "Sofia": go in the right direction from hotel's exit along "Tsar Osvoboditel blvd". In fact, the main entrance of the University is seen from the hotel.
- From hotel "Serdica": go in the left direction from hotel's exit, turn to the left and go along "Vassil Levski blvd" until its cross with "Tsar Osvoboditel blvd".
- From student dormitory: take bus 280. Get off on the last stop "Rectorat of Sofia University" on "Shipka str". The bus stop is at the University's back. Return some 50 m. to "Vassil Levski blvd", turn to the left and go until you reach the main entrance of the University.
