Instructions for Authors
Languages. Papers may be written in English, French or German.
Submission of manuscripts.
Preferably, manuscripts should be sent (by e-mail as PDF files) directly to a member of the Editorial Board whose field of interest is judged to be
the closest to the subject of the paper. In case of hesitation the authors are encouraged to consult the Editorial Office at the e-mail address given below.
Manuscripts may be also submitted to the e-mail of the Editorial Office.
The acceptance for publication will be based on a positive recommendation by a
member of the Editorial Board. Upon acceptance papers prepared by TeX, LaTeX, or another software should be sent by e-mail to:
serdica@math.bas.bg. PDF-copy must be sent as well.
Preparation of manuscripts.
Before having a paper
typed for submission, the author should pay attention to the following
important recommendations:
-
An abstract, not exceeding 150 words, should be included at the beginning.
The author(s) should provide also 2020 Mathematics Subject Classification (which can be found e.g. from the home page of the American Mathematical Society http://www.ams.org) and Key words clarifying the
subject of the manuscript.
-
Figures and tables may be typeset as a part of the file of the paper or prepared as separate files in EPS, PS, CDR, PDF, JPG, GIF, TIF or WMF graphic formats. The authors have to indicate where the figures or tables are to be inserted.
-
Footnotes should be numbered consecutively and placed at the bottom
of the page where they have to appear. The footnotes related to the title and author's name are not numbered.
-
References should be given at the end of the paper in alphabetical order in the following way: a) to books − author, title, location, year of publication; b) to articles in periodicals or collections − author, title of the article, title of the periodical (collection), volume,
year, pagination. Abbreviations of titles of journals and periodicals should be
done according to Mathematical Reviews or Zentralblatt für
Mathematik (see e.g. most recent Mathematical Reviews Annual Subject Index).
-
Manuscripts must be accompanied by the full address(es) of the author(s)
and e-mail, if available.
-
Also author(s) should give a short running title
(not exceeding 60 symbols) and in the case of more than one author
they should specify the corresponding author.
-
Author(s) should keep a copy of the original manuscript.
-
Manuscripts are not sent back.
Proofs.
The galley proofs are sent usually by e-mail, to the specified address for
correspondence. For corrections (in the galley proofs)
which exceed 10% of the text, the authors will be charged.
