Education via music provides enormous opportunities for the intellectual, multifaceted and full-fledged development of a child's personality. Musical activities have the greatest influence on the moral-aesthetic, creative and emotional development. Leisure time is important for this development especially when filled with appropriately selected and managed activities to support the social, cultural, creative and communication education of children. This report explores the relationship between music activities and the children’s mental state. The aim is to determine whether the emotional state of the children reflects on their attitude towards music activities during their leisure time and also if these activities influence children's emotions and actions. This was established by examining the influence of the factors of self-esteem, activity and mood on the children’s attendance of organized music activities in the leasure time.
