Abstact:
Loneliness is a socio-psychological phenomenon associated with the absence of positive emotional-sensual relationships with people and/or fear of losing them, or result of forced or psychologically motivated social isolation. From a theological perspective, loneliness is a state of the human spirit that is not in relationship with its Creator, a consequence of the sin-fall, fear and alienation that absorbed Adam`s and Eve's positive experiences of communion with God. The presented theo-psychological method for solving loneliness issue is based on the Christian perception of God as an immanent heavenly Father and closeness with Him in prayer (positive solitude) and study of His Word, which restores human spirit. The natural result for the soul is acceptance of the neighbor as oneself, in which even if it is existentially alone, the person is not feeling lonely. Modern people are lonely because they choose to build walls and not bridges.
