Abstract: The topic of the article discusses the founding of the studio "Typocalligraphy" at the Faculty of Fine Arts at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo. The studio is intended for students who demonstrate exceptional potential in the fields of calligraphy and typography. The article will focus on several key aspects: the individuals behind the launch of this initiative, namely Associate Professor Ph.D. Radimira Yordanova and Associate Professor Ph.D. Simeon Zhelev; the tradition and legacy that support the foundation of the studio; the reasons why such an initiative is necessary; and the philosophy on which the "Typocalligraphy" studio is based. The short-term and long-term goals of the initiative will also be presented.
