On the wedding day, the shepherd wore his kyustek.

The only men’s jewel is the kyustek. The metal kyustek is a display of wealth and social status and only married men wear it, while the beaded one is traditionally used by bachelors. The metal kyustek is composed of two engraved plates connected with chains that fall over the chest. On one end the plate ends with a hook to hang on the shoulder, on the other end it is placed in the vest pocket or the belt. The plates have zoomorphic or plant decoration, oftentimes crafted with filigree or granulation.

The kyustek is the predecessor of the pocket watch with a chain which was fashionable in the city
