The paper presents the recently developed theoretical approach for endowing the humanoid robots with various professional roles and functionalities in different learning situations such as inclusive classes, centres for special education, or in social services. It is argued that humanoid robots by their nature are complex psychosocial as well as psychophysical stimuli, where social comes first, by addressing the deep psychological levels of learning and adaptation in a complex technology mediated social environment. Examples of several designed by us learning situations are described and analysed in the context of some well-known effects like reactance to robot advice in the social realm, or the Uncanny Valley effect in the psychophysical domain. A novel account of the observed reactions to static vs. dynamic modes of agent appearance is proposed and evaluated in a study of user perception of four different human/humanoid and non-humanoid agents with possible implications for education.Ключови думи
