These days most of the researchers use online search engines to find scientific articles they need. There are many specialized databases that are indexing scientific content and offer powerful search mechanism in these articles. On the other hand, authors and publishers are also interested of wide dissemination of their research articles and that is why they closely cooperate with these indexing organizations. In the paper are considered some popular indexing databases. We discuss their search functionality and practical aspects from authors and publishers’ point of view needed for content inclusion.
