Abstact:
The French artist Jean Dubuffet (1901–1985) is one of those artists who aim to reflect in their work an absolutely immediate and direct projection of what is happening in the depths of the individual consciousness. These personal beliefs become principles of grown and sustainable artistic work. Due to this, the artist focuses on the process of collecting children's drawings, in which he views authentic creative expression and primitive values. This also defines the purpose of the current study - to examine some specific works by Jean Dubuffet, which are influenced by children's drawings from the artist's collection.
