In 2025, 30 years have passed since the beginning of the "Paper" project, a theme on which the team of the Dobrich Art Gallery works, develops and promotes. Through exhibitions, plein airs, lectures, publications, demonstrations and practical work with children, the theme "Paper" has established itself as a new artistic territory and an independent creative practice, which has led to the legitimization of concepts such as paper art, handmade and author's paper, etc. in Bulgaria. After the first exhibition in Dobrich in 1995, the initiative grew into an annual plein air, despite a break of several years, it has been revived again and continues to this day.
