Applying organization:
          The Institute of Mathematics and Informatics carries out its research activities in accordance with European priorities and research programs and global trends in the development of mathematics and mathematical informatics, as well as in the context of international agreements and the need for socially significant for Bulgaria applications. IMI priority strategic directions for research are: Mathematical informatics (Mathematical linguistics and knowledge processing; Modeling of software and cognitive processes; Modeling of information processes.) and Mathematical and information modeling of educational processes.
          To achieve these priority goals, bilateral and multilateral contractual contacts are maintained with dozens of research centers in Europe and the world. Full integration into the European Research Area is considered by the IMI management as one of the main approaches to making science a key driver for the development of the national economy and a knowledge-based society. IMI-BAS has long-term bilateral and multilateral agreements for scientific cooperation with over 40 research centers and universities in Europe and around the world.
          IMI actively participates in the development of informatics with an emphasis on computer, communication and information systems and technologies in order for the country to participate in the global information community. This activity provides direct access to information arrays and acquaintance with the achievements of the leading scientific centers in the world in all fields of science and human knowledge. IMI BAS has experience in digital creation, integration, presentation and preservation of scientific and cultural heritage through digital content management systems, digital libraries, virtual galleries, exhibitions and more. The institute has long-standing interests in technological development of information systems, knowledge processing systems, content management systems, distributed multimedia environments, applications of the semantic Internet and interactive learning environments.

Partner organization:
          The Laboratory of Interactive Robotics of IR-BAS headed by Assoc. Prof. Al. Krastev, is equipped with stationary, two humanoid robots NAO, 3D printer, own robots, video camera.
