Work package 1: Project management and control.

• Participants in the implementation of the activities of the work package is the entire research team.
• The head of the work package is Prof. Dr. Galina Bogdanova.
• The activities under Work Package 1 will be carried out during the whole period of project implementation: 3 years (36 months) from month 01 to month 36.

Activity 1.1:

Management of the project implementation activity: organization of working meetings; administrative and financial management; coordination with the NSF the implementation and presentation of the project reporting materials.

• The project manager is responsible for the management and control of the implementation of the project proposal. The activity is realized according to the Project Management Plan by the whole scientific team. The manager monitors the implementation of the planned basic research through monthly team meetings. The project manager together with the accounting department of the basic organization will monitor the proper use of funds provided in the project proposal. The distribution of the financial budget is done by the project manager and the basic organization and is approved by the research team. The project manager has an official dialogue with the Research Fund. He is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all activities envisaged by the Work Program, the Implementation Schedule, the Implementation and Dissemination Plan and the Financial Plan for the entire period of the contract, as well as for the sustainable development of the activities after the project completion.
• The expected results are project documentation and reports.

Work package 2: Basic research and development of a conceptual model for assessing digital accessibility for people with disabilities.

• Participants in the implementation of the activities of the work package is the entire research team.
• The head of the work package is Prof. Dr. Galina Bogdanova.
• The activities under Work Package 2 will be carried out for: 24 months from month 04 to month 27.

Activity 2.1:

Research studies of good practices and approaches in the research areas in Europe and worldwide.

• The expected result of the implementation of the activity is a thorough study of the problems and needs in providing access to digital multimedia content for people with visual impairments and global trends in this field.

Activity 2.2:

Analysis, synthesis and systematization of successful solutions and technologies for accessibility and creation of new scientific methods.

• The expected result of the implementation of the activity is the systematization of the studied successful solutions for improving the accessibility of digital and the development of new scientific methods in order to evolve these models.

Activity 2.3:

Creating a conceptual model for assessing the availability of systems.

• The result of the implementation of the activity is a model for improved presentation of multimedia cultural learning content for people from the target group. A methodology and knowledge related to the development of affordable models will be developed, as well as a handbook for web developers.

Work package 3: Building a conceptual model of a multifunctional ecosystem for accessibility.

• Participants in the implementation of the activities of the work package is the entire research team.
• The head of the work package is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Todor Todorov.
• The activities under Work Package 3 will be carried out for: 21 months from month 13 to month 33.

Activity 3.1:

Research of technologies and means for building an accessible environment / ecosystem

• The expected result of the implementation of the activity is a thorough analysis of the world trends in the field of digital technologies to support the study of digital cultural and historical content by people with visual impairments.

Activity 3.2:

Building a model of an accessible repository of knowledge and accessible sites related to people with disabilities

• The expected result of the activity is an ecosystem model to support the study of digital cultural and historical content by people with visual impairments.

Activity 3.3:

Management of an accessible repository of knowledge and sites related to people with disabilities

• The result of the implementation of the activity is an experimental ecosystem based on the proposed model to support the presentation of cultural learning content for people from the target group. Training will be provided for people with visual and cognitive disabilities with the means included in the ecosystem. An analysis and evaluation of the application of the developed digital content in a real environment will be made.

Work package 4: Dissemination and promotion of project results.

• Participants in the implementation of the activities of the work package is the entire research team.
• The head of the work package is Prof. Dr. Galina Bogdanova.
• The activities under Work Package 4 will be carried out for: 33 months from month 04 to month 36.

Dissemination and promotion of project results

• The dissemination and promotion of the results of the project will be realized by the whole team, according to the Plan for dissemination of the results. The team leader is responsible for the preparation and synchronization of the reports and publications related to the project proposal. He organizes the informing of the scientific and public circles about the realization of the project. The team leader is responsible for communication with all public, educational, cultural and scientific organizations and institutions related to the project.
