The 20th century stained-glass window marks the beginning of a period of outstanding creativity, providing interesting examples that depend most on the architectural environment.
The art of the stained glass flourishes when the Romanesque architecture gives way to the Gothic and loses its place in the splendid ornamentation of the Baroque and Rococo. The clean lines and constructive novelties of the 20th century architecture, based on steel and concrete, give the stained glass artists new opportunities that have never been before. The specifics and innovations in contemporary stained glass works lead to numerous experiments and questions that accompany the work of today's stained glass artists. On the way to their research, they use as a basis all the possibilities of the glass, by skillfully developing the technicality and the technology of the stained glass and enriching its modern artistic sound with success.

Стъклописът от средата на XX век до наши дни бележи началото на период, в който се създават интересни примери, зависещи най-много от архитектурната среда.
Изкуството на витража процъфтява, когато романската архитектура отстъпва място на готиката и загубва мястото си в пищната орнаментация на барока и рококо. Чистите линии и конструктивните новости на архитектурата на ХХ и ХIХ век, основаващи се на стоманата и бетона, предоставят на майстора стъклописец нови възможности, каквито не е имало преди. Спецификата и нововъведенията в съвременното витражно изкуство, водят до многобройни експерименти и търсения, съпътстващи неизменно в работата днешните художници витражисти. По пътя на своето търсене те използват за основа всички възможности на стъклото, като умело развиват технически и технологически витража и обогатяват неговото модерно артистично звучене.
Изкуството на витража процъфтява, когато романската архитектура отстъпва място на готиката и загубва мястото си в пищната орнаментация на барока и рококо. Чистите линии и конструктивните новости на архитектурата на ХХ и ХIХ век, основаващи се на стоманата и бетона, предоставят на майстора стъклописец нови възможности, каквито не е имало преди. Спецификата и нововъведенията в съвременното витражно изкуство, водят до многобройни експерименти и търсения, съпътстващи неизменно в работата днешните художници витражисти. По пътя на своето търсене те използват за основа всички възможности на стъклото, като умело развиват технически и технологически витража и обогатяват неговото модерно артистично звучене.
