Abstact:
The theme, that is discussed, is the painting of Prof. Ivan Kanchev in the context of its style. The prerequisites for the emergence of European neo-expressionism, the political situation there and the comparison with the situation in Bulgaria are discussed. Different authors from Europe and America, representatives of neo-expressionism, are being studied, along with Prof. Ivan Kanchev. It analyzes the stylistic features of neo-expressionism, its means of expression and its main ideas to prove its existence in our country as well.
