Interpretations of the Cityscape in Aerial Photography

Abstact:
The report explores aspects of the art of aerial photography, related to various interpretations of the cityscape. The report analyzes different trends in photographing urban architecture from bird's eye view, both historical and contemporary. Particular features of the photographic rendering of urban-related aerial images are being studied. Specific features of the aerial photography images and aspects such as the methods used, are being studied. Examples of both black and white and color photographs are being compared and studied. Aerial photography is being considered and analyzed as an artistic process, capable of creating fine art imagery.
