Abstact:
The work of the Varna artist Vladimir Ivanov began in the mid-70s of the 20th century. He is one of the creators of the Var / T /na club. This text explores the conventional and the unconventional in the creative path of the artist, who played a major role in the emergence and development of contemporary Bulgarian art. The cultural and ideological reality of that time did not prevent the artist from finding his way in the face of Western art, completely denying the canons of socialist realism and the restrictions it placed. The author paves the way for conceptual art in our country without violating the dogmas of socialist ideology. I research the process from the graphics boards with a non-standard shape, through the installations to the interventions in the urban environment. The ideological and semantic process in the creation of such works, for the search, the combination of the geometric and the organic. Tangram and plasticity of the text as the main motif in his works. The beauty of his works comes from their elitism and ephemerality, placed in a dynamic urban environment. The game between the artist and the viewer through the language of conceptualism.
