The art of Ancient Greece and Ancient Roma as a cultural and civilizational function with evolving genre and technological complexity is representing specific material and informational production, necessary for thorough research on early forms of printmaking. We observe the first acts of analytical thinking about art, which lead to its factological and terminological existence, allowing us to define its essence and genre delimitation. These processes are crucial for the systematic ancient interest towards people who create art and the appearance of the artist as an active element of society, with specific legal rights that are reflected in the artistic product.
