The report explores the topic of art-therapeutic work with clay as a method of achieving mental integrity, formation of human individuality and development of sense of community, by drawing on the experience of "modelling myself" art therapy sessions – art for inner balance, self-knowledge and unlocking of creative potential through working with clay.
Sculpture is presented in brief as a creative process and clay – as material for self-expression in art therapy. The basic techniques of art therapeutic work with clay are clarified.
Art-therapy modelling with clay is viewed as a method for developing the social feeling, a pedagogical and educational method applied to children and adults – their parents and teachers. It is because the level of consciousness of the growing generation depends on the attitude of the parents and teachers toward the upbringing and education of children. This is crucial for the quality of the society in which we live.
