Erusalemia from the "Christian Art" Collection of the "Dimitar Dobrovich" Gallery, Sliven

Abstact:
    The report aims to present one of the "Jerusalem icons", part of the collection "Christian Art" of the gallery "Dimitar Dobrovich", Sliven. The so-called "Jerusalemias", brought by the pilgrims during their travels to Holy Sepulcher (Resurrection) and their place in the context of the Revival art and the Orthodox tradition. An attempt is made to systematize the numerous scenes, images of saints and the presented objects for worship from the Holy Places with a pilgrimage, God's tomb, iconographic scheme starting point - the temple of the Lord's tomb. It is conditionally divided into registers to facilitate its more detailed study and analysis.
