Abstact:
    The report examines the beginning of constitutionalism in the Balkan region from the beginning of the XIX to the beginning of the XXI century. The specifics of constitutionalism as an ideological and political movement in the area can be reduced to the following - extremely fast development, strong foreign influence, preference of the constitutional monarchy as a form of government. The aim of the paper is to present a broader comparative view of the process of establishing constitutionalism in Balkan countries.
