- Kaloian Stoilov defended his MSc thesis at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Sofia University in July 2025.
- Francesca Acotto (PhD student from Università di Torino, Italy) visited our group from 15 June to 7 July 2025.
- Ibrahim Nali (PhD student from University of Szeged in Hungary) visited our group from 10 to 17 November 2024 and presented a seminar talk on barrier solutions in models for travelling waves in the context of tumour growth.
- My PhD student Vladimira Suvandjieva presented her research on a model for the effect of NETosis in systemic lupus erythematosus at the National Congress of Mechanics (Sofia, Sept 2-4 2024).
- Dr. Sara Sottile (Università di Bologna, Italy) visited in September 2024 on a short-term scientific mission (STSM) to work on a mathematical model to describe the effect of methotrexate in reducing immunogenicity of adalimumab in axial spondyloarthritis. The model is based on data from the clinical trial Effect of the Combination of Methotrexate and Adalimumab on Reduction of Immunization in Ankylosing Spondylitis (Université de Tours, France). Funded by COST Action ENOTTA.

- The BIOMATH2025 Conference took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 15 to 20 June 2025.
It includeed a Special Topic session on Mathematical Models of the Immune system in Human Disease.
This Special Topic session was a follow-up to the Workshop on Mathematical Perspectives on Immunobiology in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria in 2023.
The session's purpose was to create a focused opportunity for presentation, discussion and exchange of mathematical and computational models of immunological processes in different human diseases. Topics of interest include: within-host models of host-pathogen interactions, cancer and immunotherapy, immunity and vaccination, autoimmunity and inflammation, signaling pathways, regulatory networks, multiscale immuno-epidemiological models, etc.
