Abstact:
The restoration of the Apotheosis sgraffito panel went through a long process of research, testing and analysis. After consulting with experts, the author of the sgraffito and a restorer, I formed a team that, within 19 working days, successfully completed the restoration of the mural by Marcho Karadjov, created in 1974 on a panoramic terrace on Stefan Stambolov Street in Veliko Tarnovo.
Thanks to modern innovative products, the choice of a suitable consolidating deep-penetrating primer proved crucial for the conservation and restoration of the first of three (so far) sgraffito panels.
