About Us

The Education in Mathematics and Informatics (EMI) Department was founded in 1990 and became one of the leading sections in the field of mathematics education in the information environment. Prof. Jordan Tabov was the first head of the EMI Department. Among its first members were Assoc. Prof. Ljubomir Davidov and Christo Hitov who have left a lasting track in the Bulgarian mathematics education. There are two specilized seminars at EMI. The international conferences and the projects (both national and international) EMI has been involved in provide a large platform for the education and the scientific development of young specialists.
