A number of members of the Institute of Mathematics are lecturers in national universities. Each year more than 40 of them are invited to be visiting professors in world known universities and research centres abroad. Many of the scholars of the Instituteare students' and post-graduates' thesessupervisors in obtaining their M.S. and PhD degrees respectively. Some of the researchersplay an important role in training gifted pupils,graduates, etc. for participating in National and International Olympiads andCompetitions in Mathematics and Informatics.The Bulgarian team in Mathematics has beenamong the first five ones classified inInternational Olympiads in Mathematics forthe recent five years.
