How to reach Sofia
The capital Sofia is daily connected by flights from all European capitals. If you come by air plane, you will arrive at the Sofia Airport, which is about a 8 km away from the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics. Participants from within the country or from nearby countries (Romania, Greece, FYR of Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro) can use also train or bus to come to Sofia. In that case they will arrive at either one: the Central Railway Station, the International Bus Station, or the Central Bus station. They are all within the same area, which is about 10 km away from the Workshop location. If you are coming by car, please refer to www.bgmaps.com or to maps.google.com for directions.Once you are in Sofia
By bus: lines 84 or 284 from the Airport, or lines 213, 214, 305, and 313 from the Central Railway Station, the International Bus Station, or the Central Bus Station; direction 'Hotel Pliska' bus stop. One either buys tickets in advance or inside from the bus driver. The costs is 1.00 BGN. The ticket must be punched after getting in and is valid only for one travel. Please note, that luggage bigger than 40x40x60 cm costs an extra ticket.By taxi: For those who arrive at the airport we strongly advise you to arrange for the taxi inside the arriving hall at the desk of the 'OK Supertrans 973 21 21' taxi company, not outside. At the International Bus Station there is no office of the above taxi company but a representative is available outside at the taxi station. The Central Railway Station and the Central Bus Station (which are both just aside of the International Bus Station) do not dispose with representative of that taxi company, so you should arrange a taxi by yourself. The cost per kilometer in Sofia is approximately 0.59 BGN (Bulgarian Leva) during the day and approximately 0.70 BGN during the night. Plus some initial costs. Another well-presented in Sofia taxi company is 'S Express 9 1280', which travel at the same price.The cars of these two companies carry the corresponding names. CAUTION: There are taxi companies with very similar names like the mentioned above, but they travel at much higher cost. In order to avoid overcharge problems, before you take a taxi make sure you see the prices posted on the windows of the car.

From 'Hotel Pliska' bus stop to the Workshop location
The Institute of Mathematics and Informatics is located on Acad. Georgi Bonchev Str., block 8, 1113 Sofia, which is about 10-15 minutes walking distance from the 'Hotel Pliska' bus stop. If you come from the Airport, the institute is on the side you get off. If you come from the Central Railway Station, the International Bus Station, or the Central Bus Station, the institute is on the opposite side you get off. The hotels, listed under the Accommodation link are situated in the same area. They are numbered on the map bellow as follows:1-> Hotel for Scientific Workers, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences
2-> Hotel 'Ganesha'
3-> Hotel 'Pliska' (the same for the bus stop)
4-> Hotel 'Europa'
