Title: Need for Postdigitalization in (South) Africa: Role(s) of Education Leaders
Authors: Chinaza Uleanya

Abstract: Considering the debate on preference between digitalization and postdigitalization, this study which is a concept note is undertaken. This is in attempt to explore the roles of education leaders if postdigitalization is to be preferred and promoted. Digitalization which is characterised by high technology use is regarded as tool for repair and solution to prevailing challenges such as inequality, unemployment, poverty, among others tends not to be experienced optimally as envisaged. Meanwhile, one of its major drivers remains the education sector. Conversely, the concept of Ubuntu which is used to express brotherhood remains a major phenomenon in the African continent. Thus, the need to consider postdigitalization as a remedy towards harnessing some of the benefits of digitalization together with those of Ubuntu. This is majorly because in postdigitalization more of the focus remains on humans which is the case with Ubuntu compared to digitalization which considers technology more than people.

Title: Foods Consumed by the Metropolitan Aristocracy During the 9th to 14th Centuries
Authors: Mirko Robov

Abstract: Information about the food and nutrition of the Bulgarian population is of a different nature – local and foreign written sources, travelogues, endowment documents, passionaries, images in miniature and monumental paintings, archaeological finds and others. Given the raw material for its preparation, it falls into several groups – plant, animal (from domestic animals and hunting), fish, etc.
The written records and the data from the archaeological excavations reveal a clear distinction in quality and variety of the foods consumed by the mass population in the capital districts of Tsarevets and Trapezitsa, the district at the western foot of Momina fortress, etc., and those consumed by the elite in the Royal Palace and the Patriarchate, in the elite closed complexes of Trapezitsa, and some of the most significant metropolitan monasteries.
Our data on the food practices of the metropolitan elite is based on findings and artefacts such as extensive dining rooms, luxurious plates of sgraffito dishes, bone remains of pike, large specimens of wild carp, lambs, young large domestic animals, hunting trophies, etc.

Title: The Humility of the King (Old Testament Readings on the Eve of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem)
Authors: Stefka Kancheva

Abstract: The solemn entry of the Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem is described by the four evangelists. With the Lord's entrance into Jerusalem, the road to His suffering begins. The worship glorifies Christ as God and King - Victor and Saviour, but it also mentions the coming Passover and voluntary suffering. The feast, located after the Great Lent and preceding Holy Week and Pascha, has a distinctly eschatological character.
Three Old Testament readings (paroemias) are read on the eve of Palm Sunday: Gen. 49:1-2, 8-12, Zeph. 3:14-19, and Zech. 9:9-15. The paper presents an interpretation of the pericopes through the writings of the Holy Fathers and the hymnography of the Orthodox Church.
The theme of the humility of the King is a kind of "gateway" to the next Holy Week, when the Creator of heaven and earth will suffer and die at the hands of His creatures in order to conquer death and exalt the nature of Adam.

Abstract: Given the growing importance of modern technologies and the increasing opportunities for access to information, the question of the meaningful and attractive online presentation of cultural heritage sites is becoming more and more relevant. In this sense, the aim of the study is to evaluate the visibility, content and visual presentation of the immovable cultural values of national importance in Stara Zagora district based on the available information about them on various websites. Through an analysis of the discovered information, the main types of sites that are presented and promoted are identified. The quality of the disseminated information and its ability to satisfy specific demands, as well as the main social groups to which it is addressed, are researched. Basic guidelines for improving the online presentation and promotion of the research sites are derived.

Title: The Eastern Necropolis of Serdica. History of researches and grave structures (2nd-6th century)
Authors: Yordana Nikolova

Abstract: The Еastern Necropolis of Serdica is the bigger of the two necropolises of the ancient city. Researches of its territory have continued for more than 100 years, and the accumulated amount of burial structures numbers over 500 pieces. They represent 8 different types, dating from the beginning/middle of the 2nd century - to the Ottoman rule. The basilica "Saint Sofia", which went through various stages of construction and transformations, is also used as a chronological benchmark for some of the burial facilities. The total area of the necropolis amounts to a very large territory composed of separate zones, with varying amounts of structures in each zone. However, to date, there is no definitive article about it. The current article is an attempt to collect and present, in a general framework, all the discoveries up to this point in the Eastern Necropolis of Serdica. In addition, the collected and analyzed information will be transformed into identification files for the register of archaeological sites in Sofia. This is also linked to the work the Regional History Museum - Sofia does for the CLaDA-BG project. This newly created registry will provide an opportunity for two important advancements in the preservation of the archaeological heritage. On one hand - by creating digital archaeological files, the information will be better stored and protected, and on the other – it will create a more easily accessible and widely available databank for the necropolis.

Title: Artificial Intelligence and Graphic Design
Authors: Boyan Blazhev

Abstract: The connection between artificial intelligence (AI) and graphic design is close and increasingly significant in the world of technology and creativity. Graphic design involves the use of various elements, such as images, text, and color, to create visual communication. This process is often slow and laborious. Artificial intelligence can be useful to automate these processes and improve the efficiency of design work. Artificial intelligence in the modern era is a powerful weapon for creating new graphic elements, improving the quality of designs and analyzing user behavior. In the future, it is expected that these capabilities will develop and new ways to use artificial intelligence in graphic design will appear, but one should not forget the dangers that this spanless new tool hides.

Title: Digital Accessibility and Immersive Storytelling for Cultural Heritage
Authors: Kalina Sotirova-Valkova

Abstract: In history science as well as in the GLAM sector the fact is not experience, and the content is more than its` (digital) packaging. In this respect immersive storytelling as principle, methodology, apps and tools becomes important instrument for institutionalized heritage, if used appropriately. The paper focuses on defining what means and what requires appropriate and digitally accessible use of digitally presented heritage objects. Good practices for immersive user experiences are being shown, digital accessibility principles and standards are presented. Resuming, main rules for construction of technology-balanced and accessible digital storytelling are being formulated.

Title: Institutional and Normative Aspects in the Preservation of Cultural Heritage
Authors: Daniela Simeonova-Korudzhieva

Abstract: Normative aspects in the preservation of cultural heritage imply a complex understanding and approach, insofar as this is a systemic process in which different cultural institutions acting with relevant competence and the normative framework have a role. It consists of international legal acts, such as the UNESCO Conventions, EU law - the regulations and directives and the internal law that is in accordance with them.
The report covers a review of case studies related to the preservation of tangible cultural heritage: cases of dissonant cultural heritage; the case with the restitution of cultural values; cases of deregistration of tangible cultural values from the register and the philosophy of the law; legal issues in dealing with cultural property; problems of ownership of movable cultural property; the relationship of copyright and related rights to cultural heritage.
