Title: The Participation of the Academic Archive in the Scientific Policy of BAS in the Last Years
Authors: Gabriela Vaptzarova, Darina Ilieva

Abstract: SA-BAS is a specialized unit and has its place and importance in the structure of the Academy: provides the Bulgarian scientific community with a complete resource base reflecting all aspects of society's development in different historical periods – one of the main tasks of any archive. The cultural heritage, preserved in SA-BAS, fits well in the international priorities of European science and culture. Documentary sources provoke the development of research tasks in various fields: political and cultural history, art history, geography and cartography, geology, archeology, ethnology, etc. The obtained results are of great interest not only among the Bulgarian scientific community. This is the contribution of the Academic Archive to the cultural diversity of Europe and the world in historical and contemporary terms.

Title: Preservation of Cultural and Historical Heritage at Risk Based on the Experience of the Scientific Archive at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (2019)
Authors: Darina Ilieva

Abstract: The report presents the importance of working on joint research projects for the conservation of cultural and historical heritage through the use of modern information and communication technologies. The issue is of national priority and has a significant place in the European integration process. I offer a brief description of several projects that the BAS Scientific Archive has worked on, but I elaborate on the latest academic archive project related to Bulgaria's participation in the wars for national unification in the early 20th century. The proposed scientific problems are of great interest not only among the Bulgarian scientific community, but also in the broad European context, increase the possibilities for future interdisciplinary studies. This is the contribution of the Academic Archive to the cultural diversity of Europe and the world in historical and contemporary terms.

Title: Aesthetic Visual Aspects in Digital Presentation of Cultural and Historical Heritage
Authors: Dimitar Dobrevski

Abstract: All serious theoretical research in the field of communication shows that, under the influence of global processes of globalization, information is increasingly visualized and iconized. Young people communicate using the wide range of opportunities provided by digital technology and the Internet.
We spend a lot of our time in the virtual space. Everything seems fraudulently easy - everyone in minutes can upload information that is rapidly becoming available worldwide. Even small children handle as computer technicians. At the same time, the majority of participants in this communication have a substantial deficiency in visual literacy. Even specialists often ignore the language of forms, colors and compositional organization of space, which requires serious preparation, training and continuous specialization. Worldwide there are no good examples, but unfortunately they are not yet available to the cultural community in our country. The report raises a number of questions and issues for discussion and tries to draw attention to possible ways of solution.

Title: From "Interactive Generative Formations" to "Interaction with Technological Organism"
Authors: Svetoslav Kosev, Atanas Markov

Abstract: The installation "Interacting with a technological organism" is a natural consequence of two previous interactive projects, namely "Interactive Generative Formations" and "Virtual Arena". The most significant difference is that for the first two projects, the events occur on a two-dimensional plane on which images are projected. The aesthetics of the objects are specified in advance, and the movement of the spectators, which are participators as well, is captured by a sensor. In this way, observers change the look of dynamic images, becoming an active part of their aesthetics. With the project "Interaction with a technological organism", we leave the area of two-dimensional and move into three-dimensional space.
The space in which the events take place is sized: 500x500x350 cm. During discussions, the authors came up with the idea to imitate a living organism that reacts to approaching.

Title: Barriers to the Digital and Physical Accessibility of the Religious Cultural Heritage of Holy Mount of Sofia
Authors: G. Bogdanova, L. Galabova

Abstract: Accessibility of religious centres and their additional hierotopical natural and architectural spaces, although implied by virtues of responsibility, solidarity, care, charity, and love, does not seem to be internal characteristic priority in confessional specifics of socialisation of private and public places by Eastern Orthodox Christian Church. Management of living heritage (traditional and reconstructed), as well as of tangible (movable and immovable) church cultural heritage, of artworks and art performances according to their artistic value, and of feasts and practices, according to their touristic potential is accomplished mostly in the interest of their liturgical confessional function in the context of Eastern Orthodox Christian subcultural lifestyle in its whole traditional and contemporary global variety.

Title: Problems of Digital Perceiving and Preservation of Living Cultural Heritage in Bulgarian Christian Religious Practices
Authors: Liana Galabova

Abstract: Contemporary technological mediation of the perceiving of Christian religious practices raises new questions of cultural interpretation, related to re-conceptualisation of participation in church life and belonging to Bulgarian traditional confessions. Unpopularity of cultural value of documenting of living religious heritage creates polemics about the opportunity of photographing and filming in sacred spaces, exposing of observed church events in media and direct transmission from sacral sites also during creation of church art and practicing of other religious rituals. Therefore attempts to balance ethnic, confessional and liturgical dimensions with tourist and public interests in accordance to global development of that discussion and potential effects of stability or instability of emerging new traditions, deserve scholarly attention.

Title: Historical Information of Illegal Writings before the Emergence of Traditional Graffiti
Authors: Simeon Zhelev

Abstract: With its long history, graffiti varies between very simple written words and exteemly complex wall paintings. We can find examples of these in ancient times all over the world. Some scholars assume cave paintings as examples of graffiti in their most general definition. Other think that samples of graffiti can be find in ancient Pompei and later in the Middle Ages on the exterior walls of churches and cathedrals. As Kaleb Neelon says, since there were people and walls, there was someone who wrote on them.
