Title: Hutsul Folk Costumes (Embroidery, Lace, Knitting) in the Collection of the Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum in Krakow
Authors: Olena Kozakevych

Abstract: The article presents the research on the Hutsul folk costume in the collection of the Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum in Krakow. The collection of the Hutsul folk costumes stored at the museum has been developed in several stages and is related to the history of two museums: the Museum of Technology and Industry (closed in 1950) and the National Museum in Krakow. The main part of the collection dates from the end of the 19th and the first half of the 20th centuries (until the outbreak of World War II). This collection includes women's and men's garments and a few children's items. Original ornaments, colors and types of garments and accessories show a local variety of the Hutsul clothing. Nevertheless, a number of objects require a more precise attribution, and the collection in general needs further elaboration – in the context of social, cultural, ethnographic and local factors – in order to define and identify the phenomenon of the traditional Hutsul folk costume.

Title: Digital Three-Dimensional Reconstruction of an Old House in the Town of Sungurlare from the Architectural Archive at the Institute of Art Studies
Authors: Dimitrina Popova

Abstract: This research is dedicated to preserving and studying architectural memory. The attention is focused on the architectural archive at the Institute of Art Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences where a cultural architectural heritage is collected over decades. Specifically, research interest is towards the collections in fund "Drawings and Surveys" conducted on the case study of a 19th century house of the Hrusanovi brothers in the town of Sungurlare. The building was depicted in plans and facades on paper 60 years ago. In development the knowledge on this old architecture is boosted by transforming it into a digital three-dimensional structure through two software applications. The analysis consists of reading of the archived drawings in the context of reconstruction and achieving a high level of authenticity in it.

Title: Interpretation of Subjects in Works of Visual Arts, through a Combination of Digital and Classical Media
Authors: Svetoslav Kosev

Abstract: Lithography is one of the emblematic graphic techniques discovered in the late 17th century to create large print runs. It is practically a prototype of modern color, offset printing. For this reason, it is one of the mandatory disciplines in higher education institutions that can afford the appropriate equipment. Three-dimensional computer graphics, on the other hand, is a technology that has only been available for use by a wider range of people since the last decade of the twentieth century. The combination of these two techniques for creating a visual product, although it sounds illogical, is the subject of this paper. In addition, the possibility of including and augmented reality (AR) to printed works created in this way will be considered.

Keywords: Augmented Reality (AR); Three-Dimensional Graphics; 3D Graphics; Graphics; Interaction; interdisciplinary artwork.

Title: Digitalization as a Form of Preservation of Cultural and Historical Heritage. Examples from Sofia. Project CLaDA-BG
Authors: Yordana Nikolova

Abstract: The archive "Immovable Cultural Assets" at the Regional History Museum – Sofia contains 1300 documentation folders of buildings, bridges and monuments located in the centеr of the city. Currently, all folders have their own digital copies - text in MS Word file and original old photos, mainly from the 70s and 80s of the last century, with corresponding image from current time. Plans and sketches of the surrounding landscape are attached as well. However, the focus of the digital unit is not on the architectural ensemble and urban planning, but for the historical reference for the person or event related to the particular monument. Through various methods of work, an attempt was made to preserve part of the history of the city - preserving its memory in digital format. Тhey consisted digitalization of the paper folder, collecting information in two various ways: at the libraries, archives and in the field – by describing and photographing the monument.

Title: Assessment of the Immovable Roman Archaeological Heritage for Inclusion in Tourism Products (Case Study Rila – Pirin Tourist Region)
Authors: Stela Stefanova

Abstract: The successful development of tourism products largely depends on the proper selection of tourist sites, the study of the possibilities of their integration and their targeting to appropriate target groups. In this sense, the present paper examines the results of the application of the author's methodology for an assessment of immovable archaeological monuments from the Roman era with the aim of analyzing the possibilities for their inclusion in cultural-tourism products of the Rila-Pirin tourist region. The applied methodology is based on a multi-aspect and detailed assessment of immovable Roman sites, on the one hand as a resource, and on the other as tourist sites. It provides an opportunity to carry out an objective analysis of the current state of the archaeological values and maximally reveal their tourist potential. The achieved results point to the possible ways of including the monuments in tourism products according to the state and prospects for their future development. This will greatly facilitate the making of reasoned decisions about how archaeological immovable sites can be most rationally used for the purposes of tourism based on cultural heritage and what are the possibilities for their successful integration.

Title: More on the Issue of the Articles in the Bulgarian Language
Authors: Stefka Petrova

Abstract: The definite articles in the Bulgarian language are distinguished by some specific features, some of which are: first, for m.r. ed.h. there are two forms; second - in writing the same is noted in four ways; third - the use of the full and short article depends on syntactic conditions, etc. The author expresses her opinion for accepting only the full form of the defining article for the masculine gender, using scientific and pragmatic arguments and proving the unnecessariness of the short form.

Title: The Journey of a Donation. Beneficiation of the Fund of Regional Ethnographic Museum - Plovdiv with a Collection of Weaves
Authors: Grozdelina Georgieva

Abstract: In 2021 REM - Plovdiv received the collection of prof. Julia Dilova, donated by her daughter Tsvetina Erokhina after her mother passed away. The collection contains over 500 different items. Today, it is very rare for museums to receive collections of this proportion, representative of different regions of the Bulgarian ethnic territory. In order to promote the donation, the museum created a project and received funding from Plovdiv 2019 Foundation. It includes five videos, an exhibition "The Apron – a Symbol and an Apotropaic", a catalog "With Love for the Woven", post cards and promotional materials. It was our desire to pay tribute to people like her, who have collected the pieces of our beautiful Bulgarian heritage. For only by shedding light on them can we thank them enough and make their work contagious to everyone who sees our future better through the conservation of our traditional culture and identity.

Title: Calligraphy and Its Effects on Humans. Contemporary Problems and Future Development
Authors: Simeon Zhivkov Zhelev

Abstract: In the age of digitalization, we less often find handwritten text. Much of our conversations, thoughts and ideas are visualized through various digital media, and sometimes pictograms and short videos substitute the written word. This type of communication leads to a variety of problems, such as loss of concentration, slowing down the thought process and making it difficult to speak fluently and smoothly. This is especially noticeable in students and adolescents. In this context, calligraphy finds a special place as a proven and established means of strengthening personal qualities. In this report, I will focus on the positive impact of calligraphy on those who practice it, as well as on its future development in digital environments.
